Cycle Sport Yamaha had it's start in December of 1966 as Yamaha of Gary Inc. They opened with two stores: one on Grant Street in Gary and the main location on U.S. 6 in Hobart Indiana. Jim McIntire, our founder, started as a very knowledgeable technician and felt that the Motorcycle business would be a great next step for his son Mike and the family. He knew the family nad business would grow together.... and they did! We now occupy a single facility, constructed by Mike and the family.
"Service after the sale" is what Jim built the business upon and to this day, Service is our specialty. We currently are a PRO YAMAHA store with FIVE STAR and YAMAHA TECHNICAL ACADEMY trained technicians under the Supervision of Mike Sparacio. We service all makes and models of Powersports Products, not just NEW YAMAHAS.
